Managed by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the ICC Global Cricket Academy is located at the global headquarters of cricket's main legislative body within Dubai's Sport City. It provides a state-of-the-art, purpose built cricket facility which will allow players, coaches, umpires, curators and administrators to live and breathe cricket – and is available for hire for local teams and players.
The Academy offers a variety of courses under a series of systematic and carefully planned training programmes to develop skills and professional excellence, all designed for national, county and state level teams.
For younger players, there are four coaching programmes:
– CricketCubs Program
– Junior Holiday Camp
– U13, U15 and U18 Holiday Camps
– U13 Warriors (Fridays and Saturdays)
– U18 Warriors (Fridays and Saturdays)
For amateur players and teams, there is an abundace of top-class indoor and outdoor practice and net facilities that can be hired by the hour.
FACILITIES: Inside, there's a multi-purpose training area, 6 indoor practice pitches and 6 nets, two of which are spin-friendly, pace friendly and batting friendly. There are also variable speed bowling machines and Hawkeye technology. Outside, there are 2 full-size, floodlit ovals with 10 pitches of varying styles on each square. There are also 15 artificial practice pitches.
