Swimming dairy: Ready to make a splash with my new goggles
Former competitive swimmer and Sport360° journalist Kara Martin gets back in the water in preparation for the Zoggs Mina Mile Open Water Swim Series on November 18th. Every week she’ll keep you updated on her training progress...
October hasn’t started off so great, to be honest. Countless work assignments aside, as a lady, there’s always that monthly disturbance; those few days in which you don’t give a rat’s bottom about anything or anyone except the sofa and sugary snacks.
I can’t wait until it’s over though as I am anxious to make a splash back into the swimming scene using the great gear Zoggs has sent me to compliment my training.
I am now the proud owner of the Zoggs Four-Stroke Fins that came out this year, one of the few fins on the market that allow you to effectively train in all four swimming strokes.
Zoggs has also sent me probably the best pair of goggles I have ever owned – the Zoggs Predator Flex Goggles. These are the preferred goggles by tons of the best swimmers and tri-athletes out there.
They’ve got a super secure and comfortable fit, 180-degree undistorted peripheral vision, Fogbuster technology and Unique 4 Flexpoint™ technology at the eyes and bridge, which allows for enhanced frame flexibility.
I like them most for their somehow menacing silver mirrored lenses, though. It’s like they’re saying ‘I can see your every move, but you can’t see me’, and gives me the impression that I’m at an advantage in the pool. Well, that’s a start, eh?
